(08.02.2007) Educational research at the University of Stavanger is taking new routes, with trainee teachers now becoming actively involved in work aimed at achieving better schools.
Zero is an anti-bullying programme which schools can use to prevent and reduce bullying.
Zero tolerance of bullying is one of the main principles in Zero.
It is the schools employees who possess the responsibility to ex-ecute this zero-tolerance principle in an authoritative, but not authoritarian way.
Respect is a programme with a broad approach. The programme aims to prevent and reduce problem behaviour at individual, class- and school level by improving teacher skills.
Respect requires the involvement and commitment of everyone in the school, including pupils, school staff and parents or guardians.
The LP-model provides a working method where teachers collaborate according to specific principles. The aim is to establish a good learning environment which ensures that all students acquire social skills and subject knowledge.
The methodology involves a systematic approach to analysis and reflection, together with the development of appropriate measures and evaluation.
