(05.11.2012) Problems caused by bullying do not necessarily cease when the abuse stops. Recent research at the Universitiy of Stavanger (UiS) and Bergen’s Center for Crisis Psychology in Norway shows that victims may need long-term support.
(15.03.2007) About 5-10 % of pupils of primary or middle school in Norway (age up to 16) are bullied weekly or more often by fellow pupils. This is around 10% of the youngest pupils and around 5 % of the older pupils.
By bullying, we mean mental and/or physical abuse of a victim, carried out by individuals or groups.
Bullying assumes an unequal power relationship between the victim and the victimiser.
